키 입력과 포인터 움직임은 사용자가 연결한 기기(호스트)에만 보냅니다. 회사는 이 입력을 받지 않습니다. 호스트가 입력을 처리하는 방식은 그 기기와 그 기기에서 실행 중인 앱의 방침을 따릅니다.
연결할 기기를 찾고 그 기기의 종류(예: Apple 기기)를 판단하려고, 휴대폰에 페어링된 기기의 이름, 블루투스 주소, 서비스 정보를 읽습니다.
페어링 안내에 이 휴대폰의 블루투스 이름을 표시합니다.
호스트 추가 화면이 열려 있는 동안과 저장한 호스트에 연결하는 동안, 호스트가 이 휴대폰을 찾을 수 있도록 이 휴대폰의 블루투스 이름을 담은 블루투스 LE 신호를 내보냅니다.

유럽경제지역(EEA)과 영국의 이용자: 회사는 구매 거래 정보를 계약 이행과 법적 의무(세무·회계)를 근거로, 문의 내용을 답변이라는 정당한 이익을 근거로 처리합니다. 이용자는 열람, 정정, 삭제, 처리 제한, 이동을 요구하거나 처리에 반대할 수 있으며, 거주 국가의 개인정보 감독기관에 민원을 제기할 수 있습니다.
8개인정보의 안전성 확보 조치
앱은 정보를 다른 앱이 읽을 수 없는 Android 앱 전용 저장소에 저장하고, 백업과 기기 이전에서 뺍니다.
앱에는 인터넷 접근 권한이 없습니다. 구매 기록은 휴대폰에서 Google Play 공개 키로 검증합니다.
회사가 받은 정보는 담당자만 접근할 수 있는 업무용 계정에 보관합니다.
9쿠키 등 자동 수집 장치
앱은 쿠키나 이와 비슷한 자동 수집 장치를 쓰지 않습니다. 이 페이지도 쿠키를 쓰지 않습니다.
10아동의 개인정보

Root Kernel (“we”) protects the personal information of people who use Two Thumbs, our Android app (“the app”), under Korea’s Personal Information Protection Act and other applicable laws. This policy explains what the app handles and what we receive.
Applies to: Two Thumbs, the Android app distributed on Google Play (package xyz.rootkernel.twothumbs.app)
1Information that stays on your phone
The app saves the following in its private storage on your phone. None of it is sent to us, and we cannot see it.
Connected devices
Each device’s name (including a name you give it), Bluetooth address, keyboard and trackpad settings, whether it signed up to receive input, and whether Android has asked to let Two Thumbs access it, used to connect, reconnect and apply each device’s settings.
Macros
The text and alias you enter, used to type the text with one tap.
History
The texts you send with Send text and the names you give them, up to 100, used to send them again. A text sent with Don’t save checked is not kept.
Settings
Keyboard layout, shortcuts, theme, effects and other app settings.
Purchase record
The purchase details Google Play issues (order ID, purchase token, purchase time and product). The app verifies them on your phone and keeps them so your purchases still work when Google Play can’t be reached.
The app never saves what you type on its keyboard. With Settings › General › Show typed text on, your phone’s screen shows the last characters sent to the host; the app keeps them in memory only and never saves them. The app does not write what you type to its logs.
Macro text and the texts in History are saved on your phone exactly as you enter them. We recommend not putting passwords or other sensitive information in macros, and checking Don’t save when you send one with Send text.
The app leaves all of this out of Android backups and device-to-device transfers, so it never moves to the cloud or to a new phone. Deleting a device, a macro or a text in History in the app erases it at once, and clearing the app’s data or uninstalling the app erases everything.
2Bluetooth and app permissions
The app uses the HID feature of Bluetooth Low Energy (Bluetooth LE) to make your phone work as a keyboard and trackpad.
Keystrokes and pointer movements go only to the device you connect (the host). We do not receive them. How the host handles your input is up to that device and the apps running on it.
To find the device to connect and tell what kind of device it is (for example, an Apple device), the app reads the names, Bluetooth addresses and service information of the devices paired with your phone.
The app shows your phone’s Bluetooth name in its pairing instructions.
While Add host is open, and while the app connects to a saved host, your phone sends a Bluetooth LE signal carrying its Bluetooth name so the host can find it.
The first time you connect each host, Android asks whether Two Thumbs may access it. If you allow it, Android keeps the app running while that host is connected or nearby. Android itself checks whether the host is nearby; the app does not store or send that. Deleting the host in the app removes this access.
Deleting a device in the app keeps its Bluetooth pairing in Android. You remove the pairing in Android’s settings.
The app asks for these permissions:
Nearby devices
To pair with and connect to the host, and to let the host find your phone.
Vibration
To give haptic feedback when you press a key.
Notifications
To show the connected host and, after you leave the app, the time left and a Disconnect button, when “Stay connected after leaving” is on. The app asks the first time you connect with it on.
Foreground service (connected device)
To keep the Bluetooth link to the host for the time you pick (5 to 30 minutes) after you leave the app or turn the screen off, with Two Thumbs Pro’s “Stay connected after leaving”.
Prevent phone from sleeping
To keep the phone awake while it stays connected, so the link does not drop.
Observe companion device presence
To let Android keep the app running while a host you allowed is connected or nearby, so that host’s keyboard does not go away with the app.
Google Play billing
To process in-app purchases.
View network connections
Added by Google Play’s billing library. It only shows whether a network is connected; the app has no internet permission.
Google Play license check
Added by Google Play’s app protection when Google Play distributes the app. It checks with the Google Play Store app on your phone that the app was installed from Google Play.
The app does not ask for location, camera, microphone, contacts, or photos and files permissions, and it does not use your location.
3In-app purchases and Google Play
Paid features are bought through Google Play’s billing system. Google processes the payment, and the Google Privacy Policy applies to the information Google handles.
Neither the app nor we receive your card number or other payment details.
The app talks to the Google Play Store app on your phone to make and check purchases. It verifies purchases on your phone with Google Play’s public key, without any server of ours.
In the Google Play Console we can see install statistics and crash reports (such as device model, Android version and error details). We use them only to improve the app, never to identify you.
4Personal information we process
We collect no personal information through the app. We receive and process personal information only in these two cases.

5Sharing and outsourcing
We do not give personal information to third parties, except where a law specifically provides for it or an investigative authority requests it through the procedure the law sets.
We do not outsource the processing of personal information to anyone.
6Destruction of personal information
When a retention period ends or its purpose is fulfilled, we destroy the information without delay. We erase electronic files so they cannot be recovered and shred paper records. Information a law requires us to keep is stored apart from other information and only for that period.
You erase the information on your phone yourself, as described in section 1.
7Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we process about you, or ask us to stop processing it.
Send your request to cs@rootkernel.xyz. We act on it and tell you the result within 10 days of receiving it.
A legal representative or someone you authorize can also make the request for you.
We cannot delete information a law requires us to keep until that period ends.
You can view, change or erase the information on your phone in the app itself.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom: we process purchase records to perform our contract with you and to meet our legal obligations (tax and accounting), and inquiries on the basis of our legitimate interest in answering them. You may ask us to access, correct, erase, restrict or port your information, or object to its processing, and you may lodge a complaint with the data protection authority where you live.
8Security measures
The app stores information in Android’s app-private storage, which other apps cannot read, and leaves it out of backups and device transfers.
The app has no internet permission. It verifies purchase records on your phone with Google Play’s public key.
We keep the information we receive in work accounts that only the people who handle it can access.
9Cookies
The app uses no cookies or similar automatic collection tools, and this page sets no cookies.
10Children
The app is not directed at children under 13, and it collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
11Privacy officer
For questions, complaints or remedies about personal information, contact our privacy officer. We reply after reviewing your message.
This policy takes effect on October 22, 2026. When we change it, we post the changes and their effective date on this page at least 7 days before they take effect.
